Dyslexia-help4u has been offering Davis Dyslexia Programmes to Timaru, Canterbury, Central Otago, North Otago and Southland/Fiordland clients since 2006. I also work with private home-based teaching for home schooling families and often travel if required. I am fully committed to supporting each person in their personal journey and I am empathetic of all issues that they may be facing. The services offered as part of the Davis Dyslexia Programme include:

  • Adult Dyslexia: The Davis method allows individuals to start addressing their problem, and then work towards achieving their potential in the workforce and their personal life. The program can help Adults with ADHD as well as ones with special learning or writing difficulties in, their workplace, in their education learning or key and life skills.

  • Davis Dyslexia Correction: The Davis Dyslexia Correction Programme offers individuals a way to mentally focus so appropriate information is absorbed. Future confusions that arise can then be addressed and the symbol mastered in clay. The training of a support person to aid with the follow-up words ensures help to understand the words to be mastered and permanently eliminates them as triggers.

  • Davis Maths Master: The Davis Maths Masteryâ„¢ Programme focuses on helping with mathematical learning difficulties, often referred to as dyscalculia. Maths becomes easier when the foundation concepts for understanding all equations are achieved. The length of a programme varies from 5 to 8 days depending on if a Davis Dyslexia Correction Programme has been previously completed.

  • Davis Attention Mastery: The Davis Attention Mastery Programme is a drug-free solution to ADD/ADHD. It enables individuals to better understand their behaviour and its impact on others. Often other learning difficulties such as dyslexia, maths or co-ordination are present also. The Davis approach allows all these areas to be addressed.

  • Davis Reading Program for Young Learners: This learning enhancement programme works with children before the age of 9. It was developed to assist the parents and child in a unique learning partnership. By working together with a facilitator, early intervention and quality support result in great progress. It provides the foundation skills of alphabet mastery, 3 step reading activities and provides a scaffold for self-regulating focus, attention and energy levels. The programme is delivered over several weeks and daily work is for a few hours each day. A Davis Correction Programme may be needed later if Dyslexia becomes a barrier to learning.
