Emerge Aotearoa provides comprehensive support services for people with disabilities, many of whom may also face mental health challenges. Their work is about building trust and relationships to deliver respectful and enriching support.

Dual Disability Services

They provide care and accommodation for people who have high and complex needs impacted by both mental health challenges and developmental and/or intellectual disability.  These services support people to transition out of hospital into community accommodation and then support them in their own homes or somewhere less intensive.  People that can access this service tend to have a very long history with secondary specialist hospital services and this is where our referrals come from.

Regional Intellectual Disability Supported Accommodation Service (RIDSAS)

RIDSAS offers specialised accommodation and residential services for individuals with intellectual disabilities, including those requiring compulsory care. They help residents achieve and maintain independence in a safe, comfortable home environment.

Supported Independent Living

Emerge Aotearoa support individuals with disabilities to live independently, helping them achieve their goals and access essential services and activities, such as education and family engagement.

Most of Emerge Aotearoa disability support services require a referral from your health provider.
