Equitas is based in the north west area of Christchurch and provides homes for people who have suffered a brain injury where rehabilitation, independence and personal goal setting provides the basis for all service delivery.

Where residents cannot progress to independent living, Equitas provides a person centered supportive home for people that facilitates aspects of independent living and meets their social, emotional, spiritual and physical needs.

Residents family/whanau and friends are welcome at Equitas and are encouraged to fully participate in all aspects of residents’ lives.

Equitas will provide a home for people with Traumatic Brain Injury to live with other compatible flat mates. They ensure a supportive home environment is maintained within the community, and are committed to encouraging individuals to reach their potential with maximum independence in all areas of their lives.

Qualified health professionals (such as Registered Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Therapists and Psychologists) contribute to the care and rehabilitation programmes for Equitas residents.
