Proactive Drive are a registered Charitable Trust based in Canterbury, who receive no direct Government funding and rely on corporate and community sponsorship and public donations to help those in our community who need it most.
Aimed at creating better safer drivers for life, by transforming driver attitudes and behaviours towards road safety and making driver education and training accessible to everyone.
They work with over 4,000 people a year to improve the driving skills of all members of the community – no matter who you are or what personal challenges you face.
From learner through to restricted and full licence programmes for all walks of life – youth to seniors, abled and disabled.
They offer a one to one training programme that works with you to make you a better driver. They also work with students who have neurodiversity and high anxiety, to support them they have a driving simulate which offers a range of different real-life scenarios to help develop driver skill and safety on the road in a safe environment.
Proactive also run a Community Driver Mentor Programme (CDMP) in Selwyn, This programme has been developed to address barriers for learner drivers of all ages seeking to get their licence, such as access to suitable vehicles, mentors and practice to develop safer drivers.
